To try to keep this going, I'm going to do a meme...this will hopefully combat our sincerely boring (and slightly awful) weekend...

C. Chore you hate: Laundry...I hate hate hate it. And because of my hatred, I let it build up and up and up and then it takes all day which makes me hate it even more.

D. Dogs: My beautiful Kona

E. Essential start to your day: My laptop. Almost the first thing I do is pull up facebook and twitter and all the blogs I love. If I don't have time for it, I feel rushed.

F. Favorite color: Purple

G. Gold or silver: Silver.

H. Height: 5′1″

I. Instruments you play: None...I'm not musically inclined

J. Job Title: Training Specialist/Department Manager in Training

K. Kids: Just the fur variety above. She's enough for now...maybe in a couple of years

N. Nicknames: Mel, Re, Mish

O. Overnight hospital stays: None...unless you count birth

P. Pet peeve: People who are late. I think it's the most disrespectful thing to do. And kids, and animals and yada yada are no excuse. You know what time to arrive, and you know what you have to do to get out of the house. Tardiness in my mind is simply poor time management.

Q. Quote from a movie: I'm not sure I have one.

R. Right or left handed: Right.

S. Siblings: Brother

T. Time you wake up: Ideally about 10, but depending on the day and my work schedule, it can be anywhere between 4:30 and noon.

U. Underwear: Yeah, I wear it.

V. Vegetables you dislike: Most of them...But dislike the most? Anything from the squash family. Disgusting.

W. What makes you run late: I'm never late. That sounds generalized, but seriously, I'm almost always 15 minutes early. See above Pet Peeve. But if I were to be late, it would likely be traffic related. One can't help getting stuck behind a horrible accident. Again, I shoot for 15 minutes early, so it would have to be really bad.

X. X-Rays you’ve had: I've had chest x-rays...Once they thought I had tuberculosis so they had to check for the little wormy things that are in there. I didn't have it though.

Y. Yummy food you make: I make really good sauces. Gravy, cheese sauce, very yum.

Z. Zoo animal: Monkeys! I love the monkeys! And also probably the elephants. They are so big and I love how they walk with their noses around the tails.

Finding my groove

Yeah, it's been a while. A long enough while that I'm now married! Wedding was perfect. Like sickeningly perfect, but more on that later. For now, I'm just trying to get my footing back.

Let's call a spade a spade here. I want to blog. I want to blog for me. But I find myself getting caught up in these categories. I want to be a wedding blogger or a funny blogger or whatever the case may be. But I think the reason I can't find my groove is because I'm trying to limit myself. So for now, I'm going to just be a me blogger.

So let's try again. I'll write about my misadventures. My ups and my downs, and go from there. No labels, so categories and see what happens. What I'd like is a blog that people actually read. What I'll take is an outlet for me to capture my thoughts and document my life with husband our cutie puppy and all the comedy and drama that comes in between.
