Breaking the Ice

So, I was doing pretty well and then I fell off the wagon. I didn't get busy necessarily, but summer did commence. We finally got our pool up and running and now we have had a steady stream of people over to enjoy it with us.

I'll be honest, this is one of the best summers I can remember. We have had a very relaxing mix of friend time, family time and us time. It's been great and part of me wants to say I never want it to end, but a part of me is ready for football and the crispness of the fall air. Soon enough, I'm sure!

So, since I haven't had much to say lately, I found this on another blog and so I'm stealing it. Kind of a meme, but kind of just more information about me for people that don't quite know what I'm about just yet.

Here we go!

Questions:
1) Tell one thing not many people know about you.

I'm incredibly sensitive, but I try to play it off that I'm not. I have to really concentrate on not over analyzing things people do and say.

2) If you HAD to change your first name, what would you change it to?

Elizabeth or Katelyn - I've always wanted a name that I had lots of options for nicknames

3) What are your 3 favorite songs of the moment?

Rolling in the Deep - Adele

Story of Us - Taylor Swift

Temptation - Billy Joel

4) List 3 goals on your life's to-do list:

Have a crazy successful career

Have a family

Visit Australia

5) What is one of your favorite quotes?

This was from the show Samantha Who - does anyone remember that? I liked it...but I thought this quote spoke volumes of my slight control freak nature

"I was reading an article once and it said that happiness comes from realizing the things you just can't control and controlling them anyway - even if it kills you."

6) Fill in the blank:

If I had an extra 10 dollars to spend . . I would take my husband out for wine and cheese tonight...I intend to do that anyway

7) What’s your birth date?

July 7, 1982

8) Do you have a hidden talent and if so what is it?

Not really. I have a knack for reading people, but I don't know if that's really a talent. I just can quickly see how people's minds work. It's a great thing for engaging teams, which is a passion of mine.

9) What do you think of when you hear the word "blue"?

Sky. I love a crisp blue sky. Especially in the winter.

10) Finish this thought: I need . . .

to pay my dentist bill!

That's enough for today. More to come!
